Storage and Security of Google Data

Google-derived data may be stored in BackPocketRA's AWS-hosted backend, including DynamoDB, to provide App functionality. Data is protected using HTTPS/TLS in transit, encryption at rest where supported, and access controls.

Disconnecting Google and Data Deletion

Users may disconnect Google from within the BackPocketRA app. Disconnecting stops future Google data sync. Users may also revoke BackPocketRA's access from their Google Account permissions page.

Users may request deletion of their BackPocketRA account and associated data by contacting privacy@backpocketra.com. Data is retained only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

5. Third-Party Services

The website and App use the following third-party services:

  • AWS Bedrock: For AI-powered features including message generation
  • News APIs: To provide relevant conversation starters and context
  • Google APIs: For optional Sign in with Google, Google Contacts (read-only), and Google Calendar (read-only) integration

These services are used solely to provide functionality and are subject to their own privacy policies. Data processed through AI features is used only to generate responses within the App and is not used to train external AI models.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:
